Step 1:

Remove door hardware; fill oversized areas, such as doorknob holes, with a piece of wood cut to size and glued into place; fill smaller holes with wood filler and the putty knife to create a smooth surface; allow to dry completely.

Tip: Faux barn doors can be purchased either alone or as part of a rolling door installation kit.

Step 2:

Lightly sand any rough or glossy surfaces; wipe with clean, damp cloth to remove dust or debris.

Step 3:

Using the flat brush, paint the door; allow paint to dry, following suggested drying time on the can label.
Optional: Apply a second coat of paint for added durability.

Step 4:

Install door and rolling door hardware according to the directions in the kit.
