YOU'LL NEED:

Dutch Boy® exterior paint

Angled paintbrush

Paint tray and liners

Painter's tape

Latex caulk

Fine- to medium-grit sandpaper

Tape measure

Finishing nails

Construction adhesive

Precut decorative molding

Molding blocks (2)

Drop cloth

Clean, damp cloth

HERE'S HOW:

STEP 1: Measure width of the doorframe from the outside edges of the trim casing and cut decorative molding to length.

STEP 2: Install molding and molding blocks with construction adhesive and secure them in place with finishing nails.

STEP 3: Apply latex caulk to any seams and nail holes; use the clean, damp cloth to smooth caulked surfaces and allow to dry following suggested drying time on label.

STEP 4: Lay down drop cloth and use Painter's tape to protect area around door; tape off any windows.

STEP 5: Using the angled brush, paint molding, molding blocks and doorframe; allow paint to dry, following suggested drying time on the can label; a second coat of paint may be needed. See paint can labels for application instructions and drying times.
