Light has a big effect on the way color looks in your home.

Natural daylight shows the truest color. Warm lighting, often called incandescent, will bring out the yellow tones of the color. Cool, or fluorescent lighting, will bring out the cooler tones of the color by casting a bluish light. Evening light will deepen even the palest shades and the morning light is usually the brightest so it will appear to lighten the color.

Our color chips have different values of each color on the chip - this makes it easy for you to decide how light or dark you want your color. It's also important to "live with" your color for 24 hours to see if you like how it looks in morning, afternoon and evening lights.
